Last week I decided to get involved with Alpro's Almond Morning challenge. I really felt it was time to welcome in the new year and get healthy after a rather bingey Christmas period. The challenge was to create delicious smoothies each morning using Alpro's milk alternatives and more importantly test out their brand new Almond Unsweetened.
So here is my week in smoothies!
If your new year's resolution was to stay healthy, have a go at creating your own smoothies with Alpro's milk alternatives. Their NEW Almond Unsweetened is absolutely delicious and is about a quarter of the calories in ordinary cows milk! So with one easy swap in the morning you're already off to a great start!
Feeling inspired? Here is a run down of my smoothie recipes over the week….
Day 1: 250ml Almond Original milk, 1 banana, 2 tbsp natural yoghurt, 1 tsp of cocoa powder, 1 tsp of honey
Day 2: 250ml Soya milk, 100g blueberries, half banana, pinch of cinnamon
Day 3: 250ml Almond Unsweetened milk, 150g frozen berries, half banana, 2 tbsp natural yoghurt
Day 4: 250ml Hazelnut milk, 1 tsp instant coffee (dissolved with a splash of hot water), 2 tsp cocoa, 1 pear, 2 tbsp natural yoghurt
Day 5: 250ml Almond Unsweetened, 50g dried apricots, 100g raspberries, 1tsp vanilla essence
Day 6: 250ml Almond Unsweetened, 100g blueberries, 1 pear, 2 dried apricots, half tbsp honey, 2 tbsp natural yoghurt
Day 7: 250ml Almond Unsweetened, 1 banana, handful blackberries.
For these recipes, I added all the ingredients to a tall beaker and used a hand-held blender. So simple and quick!
